VIDEO COCKTAIL . 1 July 2006 @ TATE MODERN (UBS Openings: Saturday Live). Lali Chetwynd. Oriana Fox. Lindsay Seers. Joe Walsh. mixed by temporarycontemporary.

Taking place every few months, UBS Openings: Saturday Live is a series of day-long events which aim to bring the best in contemporary film, performance, discussion and music to Tate Modern.

The first UBS Openings: Saturday Live, on Saturday 1 July, sees artist-activists the Guerrilla Girls make a rare appearance in the UK as they lead an artists' workshop and give a multimedia presentation on the Tate Collection displays. This is followed by the European premiere of American photographer Laurie Simmons’s first film, The Music of Regret.

In the evening, London artist-run gallery temporarycontemporary present their Video Cocktail Lounge in Café 2 – featuring work by Lali Chetwynd, Oriana Fox, Lindsay Seers and Joe Walsh – and Janine Rostron performs her show PLANNINGTOROCK on the Turbine Hall Bridge.
